Location: Ashland, MA (Leland Farm Rd) Budget: $27,000 Style: Modern / Functional
This project involved converting a dark, unfinished utility basement into a bright and functional living extension. Our team handled the complete transformation, starting with the demolition of the old drop ceilings and exposed framing to reveal the space's potential. We executed precise reframing to box in HVAC ducts and pipes, creating clean architectural soffits while maximizing headroom. The space was fully insulated and fireproofed to meet modern safety codes. The renovation turned a storage area into a pristine, multi-purpose room that includes an upgraded laundry station and ample storage.
Key Features & Materials:
Flooring: Installation of Premium Luxury Vinyl Plank (LVP) in a light oak finish, chosen for its waterproofing properties and warmth.
Laundry Zone: Creation of a clean, dedicated laundry area with upgraded plumbing connections and a new utility sink.
Lighting & Ceilings: Replaced old drop ceilings with smooth plaster and recessed LED lighting, significantly brightening the space.
Staircase Upgrade: Refinished the staircase with durable carpeting and a modern handrail for safe and stylish access.
