Following a flooding event, this project required a strategic approach to not only restore the space but to "flood-proof" it for the future. Our team managed the full remediation process, starting with the demolition of damaged materials down to the foundation walls. We rebuilt the room using specialized moisture-resistant materials to ensure longevity and healthy air quality. The renovation transformed a compromised shell into a pristine entertainment area, centered around the client's pool table, with durable finishes designed to withstand potential moisture while looking elegant.
Key Features & Materials:
Moisture Defense: Walls were reconstructed using Anti-Mold Drywall (Green Board) and finished with moisture-resistant plaster and paint to prevent future mold growth.
Durable Flooring: Installation of Wood-Look Porcelain Tile. Unlike wood or laminate, this tile is completely waterproof, making it the ideal choice for a basement, yet it offers the warm aesthetic of hardwood.
Natural Light: Upgraded with high-performance Pella Windows, which improve insulation and bring clean natural light into the lower level.
Finish Carpentry: Installation of new interior doors and clean trim work to define the space.
